INSERT CUTTERS
This type of tooling has the advantage of allowing multiple profiles to be produced on a single cutter simply by replacing the cutting tips. Furthermore, insert tooling ensures that there are no variations in cutting profiles as a result of wear and sharpening. This is especially helpful in joinery work where male and female parts need to fit accurately every time. Finally, insert cutters reduce downtown because the tool does not have to be sent out for sharpening and can be serviced on site.
